DS-led electoral list submitted to RIK

BELGRADE - Representatives of the electoral list named With the Democratic Party for a Democratic Serbia have submitted to the Republic Electoral Commission (RIK) a list of candidates for the March 16 early parliamentary elections.

The election slogan of the Democratic Party (DS) will be "Democracy is back at its old address," DS leader Dragan Djilas told reporters late Wednesday after the list was submitted.

"Our joint position that we do not want to take part in a government that includes the Serbian Progressive Party is not the only thing that brings us together. There is a lot more that has brought us together - the awareness of the danger that Serbia is facing due to the method of governance over the past two years and the government's results, which are disastrous," Djilas said.

Individuals and parties on the electoral list also share an awareness that only investments in the economy, in particular in agriculture, energy and education, can give Serbia a chance of progress, Djilas said.

The list is headed by Djilas, who is followed by Bojan Pajtic, Natasa Vuckovic and Dragoljub Micunovic.
