Korica appointed EACA deputy president for life

BELGRADE - The London-based European Athletics Coaches Association (EACA) has appointed Danijel Korica as deputy president for life.

Korica is also advisor to the president of the Sports Association of Serbia.

I am honored by this appointment. When an organization such as this gives you that kind of an offer, you know that you have been doing a good job. I will do all to make sure that EACA opens an office in Belgrade which will cover the countries of the Eastern and Western Balkans, Korica said.

He said that EACA President Frank Dick will visit Belgrade.

Danijel Korica, 69, is regarded as one of the greatest ever distance-runners from the areas of former Yugoslavia. He won the gold for the 10.000 meters race at the 1973 Summer Universiade in Moscow.
