Serbia wins Volvo Cup in Szolnok
SZOLNOK - Serbia's national water polo team lifted the trophy of the Volvo Cup in Szolnok, after a convincing win over Germany in the final third round match by 17-5 (6-3, 5-1, 3-0, 3-1).
Serbia has triumphed with the maximum nine points, ahead of the host country Hungary with 6, Germany with 3 and the U.S. team with 0 points.
The most efficient player of the match was Serbia's center Dusko Pijetlovic with six goals, while Slobodan Nikic of Serbia and Germany's Julian Real scored three goals each.
Serbian Gojko Pijetlovic was voted the best goalkeeper of the tournament, and Norbert Madaras of Hungary was named the best player.
