Djuric: SNS expects victory among Serbs in KiM
BELGRADE - Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija (KiM) will vote in early parliamentary elections for members in the Serbian parliament and the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) expects a convincing victory, Marko Djuric, party presidency member, said Monday.
Djuric told Belgrade-based broadcaster B92 that the vote in KiM will be facilitated by the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), same as before.
“There is this successful and worked out mechanism, the way in which the elections were held on 2012 and we expect everything to be just fine,” he said.
Djuric said that the SNS expects to achieve the best result in KiM and receive the biggest support from the citizens.
“We are confident that it will be so at all the polling stations in both north and south (of KIM),” said Djuric.
He expressed satisfaction about the victory of SNS member Goran Rakic in repeat mayoral elections in the Serb-majority northern Kosovska Mitrovica on Sunday.
