Canadian artist Jo Ann Lanneville to exhibit in Belgrade
BELGRADE - 'The Nature of the Universe', an exhibition of works by the prominent Canadian printmaker Jo Ann Lanneville, will be opened at the Belgrade gallery of Graficki kolektiv on March 3.
In this exhibition, the artist addresses the issue of disturbing the ecological balance, and offers the viewers a place to hide and avoid witnessing the destruction of the environment.
The visitors will have a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the work of this atypical artist through three different mediums - graphics, drawings and objects.
Lanneville has been an active participant in the international fine art scene for more than three decades. She is the co-founder of Atelier Presse Papier and the International Contemporary Printmaking Biennial in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec.
She has had over 30 individual exhibitions in Canada and countries around the world. She participated in numerous graphic art biennials and group exhibitions on five continents.
Lanneville has received several awards in Canada and abroad, including the Grand Prix of the Bharat Bhavan International Biennial of Print Art in Bhopal, India, award of the Salon de Paris, award of the biennial international printmaking exhibition in Wrexham, Great Britain, and many more.
The exhibition in Belgrade will be open through March 15.
