Vucic: New government will be formed quickly
LESKOVAC - Leader of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) Aleksandar Vucic said on Saturday that a new government will be formed shortly after early parliamentary elections set for March 16, so that essential reforms could be continued.
At an election rally in Leskovac, southern Serbia, Vucic said that a new convocation of the parliament will pass 21 laws that would allow for new investments and economic recovery.
He noted that during talks with citizens and workers at factories he had been assured that they want to work, as they urged the government to create jobs, and not to provide severance payments.
“We will meet obligations stipulated in the social programs, but before all we must ensure jobs for people," Vucic said.
All who want to invest in Serbia can count on special incentives as of May 1, the SNS leader said.
Vucic voiced confidence that the SNS-led coalition, with the strong support of people, can combat corruption and crime, carry out reforms and create jobs.
Rasim Ljajic, leader of the Social Democratic Party of Serbia (SDPS) that is in coalition with the SNS, underscored that the coalition's victory is very important as reforms could be implemented only by the government led by a strong prime minister such as Aleksandar Vucic.
