Vucic pronounced honorary citizen of Leposavic
LEPOSAVIC - Serbian First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic received the plaque of the honorary citizen of Leposavic on Thursday for his contribution to the survival of Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija, Leposavic Mayor Dragan Jablanovic said.
Noting that he is very honoured to be able to deliver the recognition to Vucic, Jablanovic said that he holds the most credit for Serbia's integrity and the fact that Kosovo-Metohija would not be separated from the mother country.
“I deliver the key to the southern Serbian province with the coat of arms of Serbia to the first deputy prime minister of Serbia because only Vucic and his team can use the key to drive all enemies out of Serbia so that the country would remain integral,” Jablanovic said.
Leposavic representatives adopted the decision to pronounce Vucic as the honorary citizen in 2013.
In Leposavic, Vucic was welcomed by mayors of four Serb municipalities from northern Kosovo-Metohija. Upon his arrival, Vucic visited the Church of Saint Basil of Ostrog where the priests presented him with a cross.
