Government will be "pro-Serbian," says president

VARVARIN -- Serbian President Tomislav Nikolić said on Monday that Serbia's future government "will be neither pro-Russian, nor pro-European."

Instead, it will be "pro-Serbian," he said.

Nikolić added that a new government will be established after consultations with leaders of the parties who will form parliamentary groups.

"The one who proves to have a majority of MPs to elect the government will be given the mandate," Nikolić told reporters in Varvarin.

Marking the 15th anniversary of the NATO bombing in this town, the President of Serbia laid a wreath at the memorial dedicated to the victims of the bombing.
