A house as a present to a blind boy
Rade Caldovic, a blind boy from Cuprija shall get a home thanks to the Blic Foundation, the Municipality of Cajetina and donors.
He shall get a new, more comfortable and larger home that he shall move in from a small roof flat leaving behind troubles that he has been faced with since his birth.
- I would like to move in on my birthday on June 21. I shall be ten then and I shall invite all of my classmates to come for a party. My parents shall be finally happy. I shall have a house of my own and a room for me and my brother. My sister is still very little. We shall also have a large yard and the roof shall not let rain in – Rade says.
Rade lost his site as a baby in an incubator. He had three surgeries but not even the best Russian oftalmologists managed to repair the damaged eye nerve.
Rade is in the third grade and is an excellent pupil, very talented in music. He attends regular classes and his school books are in Braille alphabet.

His borther Milan is going into the fourth grade, while sister Milica is only sixteen months old. Mother Zivana does not have a job. Father Milovan is employed at the KJP Zlatibor. The family lives from his salary and a small social help. They are presently living in 24 square meters given to them by the Municipality of Cajetina.
