Djokovic roughs up Nadal to win fourth Sony Open title

MIAMI – Serbia’s Novak Djokovic claimed his fourth title at the Maimi Masters tennis tournament after a dominating 6-3, 6-3 win over world No. 1 Rafael Nadal on Saturday.

It took Djokovic only one hour and 24 minutes to beat the Spaniard and reach his 18th victory in the 40th match of their rivalry.

This was 18th Masters 1000 series and 43rd career title for Djokovic, reminding us of his breaking a single-season record with five titles in 2011, when he significantly reduced the gap between him and Nadal in the ATP rankings.

The total prize money for the Sony Open is USD 5.64 million.
