SPS accepted SNS proposition on participation in govt
BELGRADE - The Presidency of the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) accepted on Thursday the proposition of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) and its leader Aleksandar Vucic concerning the participation in the new government because this is in Serbia's best interest.
“SPS believes that it is in Serbia's best interest not to miss the chance for implementation of reforms and Serbia's development. Serbia's recent history was, unfortunately, full of missed chances,” states the release issued by the party after the Presidency session.
According to the release, the SPS main goal is to contribute to the creation of a modern and well-developed Serbia which will become a part of the family of European nations and this is a historic responsibility for every party in Serbia.
The SPS Presidency authorised SPS leader Ivica Dacic to continue the talks with Vucic as to the participation and candidates for positions in the future government.
