President Nikolic's Easter message

BELGRADE - Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic wished on Saturday a happy Easter, the greatest Christian holiday, to Serbian Patriarch Irinej, priests and monks, and all citizens of Serbia celebrating this holiday, with the message that "the strength of our country should lie in understanding, love and solidarity, as our faith preaches".

President Nikolic also wished a very happy Easter to Serbia's Catholics and Protestants, the Archbishop of Belgrade and Catholic priests.

"May our prayers in the days celebrating Jesus' resurrection be dedicated to health and prosperity of our families, friends and our diaspora, weak and vulnerable compatriots, the progress of our homeland Serbia, wellbeing of each and every man regardless of their faith," reads the president's Easter message.
