New phone lines for appointments at polyclinics


Citizens can book appointments at polyclinics forming part of the streamlined Primary National Healthcare Network (PEDY) from Wednesday as a new telephone service is to start operating several weeks after EOPYY, which PEDY replaces, suspended its phone hotline.

PEDY’s service comprises four five-digit numbers – 14554, 14784, 14884 and 14900 – which are to be manned from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Monday through Friday.

The Health Ministry is also planning to launch an online service for booking appointments at PEDY polyclinics.

Minister Adonis Georgiadis on Tuesday heralded the launch of a tender for the project though it was unclear when it was expected to be up and running.
