Rodic sends Serbian Armed Forces Day message
BELGRADE - Serbia's outgoing Defense Minister Nebojsa Rodic Tuesday congratulated all members of the Serbian Armed Forces (VS) and offered his best wishes as they are preparing to celebrate Serbian Armed Forces Day.
VS members achieved noticeable results when it comes to development, improvement of special skills required and overall training of all units in the past year by executing their tasks in a professional and responsible manner both at home and abroad, Rodic said.
In a message posted on the Serbian Defense Ministry's website, Rodic said that the VS has successfully maintained full operational capability.
"I am sure that you will continue to professionally and responsibly carry out the tasks assigned and contribute to the further development of a strong, modern and respectful Serbian Armed Forces, which is justifying the reputation it has with the citizens of our country and the partner countries around the world," said Rodic.
"I congratulate you on your holiday and wish you every success in your work," he said.
The VS celebrates its holiday marking the beginning of the Second Serbian Uprising of April 23, 1815, a milestone in the creation of the modern Serbian state and armed forces.
