Family of 4 Missing Near Haskovo After Torrential Rains

Bulgarian police are searching for a missing family of 4 near the village of Vinevo, Haskovo region.
The bridge by the village collapsed Thursday night after heavy rainfall and flooding. On Friday morning, the family's car was found crushed by the bridge, Dariknews reports. The husband and wife, their daughter, and granddaughter are missing however.
The intense rain caused damages in northwestern Bulgaria as well, where a dam overflowed on Wednesday and the level of rivers rose. Before the incident with the Haskovo family, no injuries or casualties were registered.
