"Foreign minister must be team player"

For this reason, said she, Serbia's foreign minister "must be a team player."

According to this official, in the process of accession negotiations the personality of the foreign minister is very important, though, she added, is much more important for the minister to be a team player.

"The personality is always important, agreement of personalities is always important, but what's more important is to be in a team, and know how to work in a team," said Miščević.

According to her, many things depend on the personality, especially at a time when Serbia faces major challenges - continuing reforms, the process of negotiation and exit from the crisis. "Teamwork is very important, but in each team individuals are important in terms of setting the pace," she added.

The minister of foreign affairs, noted Miščević, participates in negotiations on the structure and preparation of the platform, in harmonizing the foreign policy stances with those of EU member states, promotes international relations, particularly in the region.

Miščević emphasized the importance of the mission of Serbia in Brussels and other diplomatic missions in the process of European integration, "because through them Serbia presents its activities to EU member states, and other countries."

On Friday, ahead of the official announcement of the new cabinet, the daily Blic speculated that Ivica Dačić will take over as Serbia's foreign minister.
