Ministers take office
BELGRADE, April 29 (Tanjug) - After the election of a new government, new ministers took office from their predecessors in almost all departments on Monday.
Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic took over from Ivica Dacic.
Dacic took over from Ivan Mrkic as foreign minister.
The Defense Ministry stated that the transfer of duties began on Monday, and it will take several days, with Bratislav Gasic replacing Nebojsa Rodic.
Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Kori Udovicki took on the local self-government portfolio from Igor Mirovic and the public administration department from Justice Minister Nikola Selakovic.
Minister of Transport and Construction Zorana Mihajlovic took charge of the ministry of transport, after Aleksandar Antic, who will now be responsible for the energy sector, which Mihajlovic previously ran. Mihajlovic also take on the construction department from the newly appointed minister without portfolio Velimir Ilic, while Antic will also replace Milan Bacevic as minister of mining.
Zlatibor Loncar took over the health portfolio from his predecessor in the position, Slavica Djukic Dejanovic.
Aleksandar Vulin took office of the minister of labor, employment, veterans' and social affairs. The ministry was previously run by Jovan Krkobabic, who passed away last week.
Dusan Vujovic took over from Igor Mirovic as minister of economy.
Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection Snezana Boskovic Bogosavljevic took on the environmental protection portfolio from Zorana Mihajlovic, and will also take over the agricultural sector from Dragan Glamocic on Tuesday.
