Poland's Citizens 'Overwhelmingly Against Adopting Euro'

Only 5% of Poles firmly support the idea that their country should join the Eurozone, a survey by the GfK Polonia Institute has shown.

Nearly three-quarters of Polish citizens do not want to abandon the zlota, Poland's national currency, with 42% of them being "strongly against" and 32% being "against" the euro, as Bulgaria's bTV

Alongside nine other countries, Poland marked on May 1 the tenth anniversary of its entry to the European Union as part of the Eastern Enlargement.

Some of them, namely Slovenia, Cyprus, Malta, Slovakia, Estonia, and Latvia are already also part of the Eurozone.

Poland, however, considers itself the top success story of the Eastern Enlargement, with stable economic growth and assertive foreign policy.
