Sergej Milinkovic Savic, leader of Vojvidina FC 'kindergarten' participated in winning of this year's Cup

Sergej Milinkovic Savic is only 19 but has already demonstrated his huge talent. His younger brother, a goalkeeper is following the elder brother's steps.

 

- My brother and I were born in Spain and there you bear a family name of both your father and mother. Our sister Jana is nine and she is only Milinkovic – Sergej, a 192 cm tall young man says.

 

The trophey he won for the Vojvodina FC is not his first one. 'Last summer I won the gold with the juniors of Serbia at the European Championship', he says.

He has sport genes. Father Nikola played football in Spain and Austria and mother Milana played basketball.

 

'Lithuanians' want confirmation of gold

With the team of 'golden Lithuanians' – Mitrovic, Lukovic, Rajkovic... he wants to be rembembered once more.
- If we qualify for the second roud (in the group with Iceland, Ireland and Turkey), we shall play at the European Championship again, this time in Hungary. The defeat in a friendly against the Spaniards is a warning to us, although our team was not complete. It would be great that we win the gold again – Sergej says.

- I started playing football in Spain. I moved to Novi Sad eight years ago. My coach was Vlada Savic and coach Kosanovic led me to the A team of the Vojvodina FC', Sergej says.

 

- My contract here expires in a year and a half. I adore the Real FC and to play for that team is the dream of my...
