Greek rescue team to arrive in Serbia on Monday
BELGRADE - Greek Ambassador to Serbia Constantine Economides has said that a rescue team from Greece will arrive in Serbia on Monday to provide assistance in areas hit by floods.
"Special 8 man rescue team from Thessaloniki arriving tomorrow to help Serbian friends in flooded areas," he posted via twitter.com.
"Greek Embassy staff will be donating food and water to Belgrade City Hall tomorrow, in a show of solidarity with our Serbian brothers," he pointed out.
A statement from the Greek embassy delivered to Tanjug says Greece's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos has ordered a plan for the provision of additional aid.
