For the People's Movement Party (PMP), the result garnered in the European Parliament elections on Sunday is a victory, said deputy Elena Udrea at the headquarters of the formation after the first exit-polls.

"For the People's Movement Party the results that we have garnered in the first electoral test we have undergone are a victory. We have achieved our primary goal, that to accede to the European Parliament, to send representatives to the European Parliament, which is an extraordinary thing, given that we are a party that has formed nearly three months ago. Furthermore, we are a party in which 80 percent of the members are new people, a party that is building its structures now with the electoral campaign, but at the same time we are the only center-right party that has grown in this campaign. If the turnout was higher in 2014 than in 2009 in the European Parliament elections it is obvious that that raise in people voting is due to the campaign done by PMP", said Elena Udrea.

She mentioned that the main objective of her party is to reach an electoral score of 30 percent in 2016. Furthermore, she launched an invitation to the other leaders of center-right parties to discuss the creation of a joint project that would ensure their victory in the presidential elections against Victor Ponta and PSD.
