Presidential adviser to attend Poroshenko's inauguration

BELGRADE -- Serbian president's adviser on foreign affairs Ivan Mrkić will attend the inauguration of Ukraine's new president Petro Prooshenko in Kiev on Saturday.

Poroshenko won in the presidential election in Ukraine on May 25 with 54 percent of the votes.

The new president has promised to keep the current government led by Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk.

Poroshenko also stated that he would present a plan for a peaceful solution to the conflict in eastern Ukraine soon after the inauguration, but did not reveal the details of the plan.
