Black Sea Fleet choir, orchestra to perform for charity

BELGRADE - The choir and orchestra of the Russian Black Sea Fleet will perform a charity concert at Belgrade's Sava Centre late Monday, with proceeds to go to a special bank account set up to help repair the damage caused by floods in Serbia, the Russian embassy in Serbia and Sava Centre - the organisers of the concert - have announced.

On par with the famous Alexandrov Red Army Choir, the Black Sea Fleet ensemble has performed in many European countries, the announcement said.

Its first performance in Serbia will feature traditional Russian songs and dances, military songs that emerged during the Great Patriotic War and patriotic songs.

Visitors are about to see a superb musical and stage performance, the Russian embassy in Serbia announced.
