The head of the Serbian government's Office for Kosovo and Metohija added that "there is certain disagreement over the interpretations concerning the way in which that would be done so the issue should be addressed in Brussels."

"We expect this will be a subject of discussion in Brussels. This is a very important topic for us, which is related to the level of political rights of Serbs and we will fight for that with resolve," Đurić said in a live broadcast on Radio-Television of Serbia (RTS).

Asked whether Serbia could count on support from international actors in that regard, Đurić noted that "talks are being held with the most powerful states, and beyond."

"That is important so that we can protect the rights of our people in Kosovo, but also legitimate rights and interests of the state of Serbia," he noted.
