Ponta: Our women's epee crew winning gold - another outstanding performance for Romania

Prime Minister Victor Ponta on Thursday congratulated the Romanian women's crew that conquered the gold medal in the epee event at the European Fencing Championships in Strasbourg.

'Ana Maria Branza, Simona Pop, Simona Gherman and Maria Udrea have conquered today the gold medal at the European Fencing Championships! This is another outstanding performance for Romania! Well done!' wrote Ponta on his wall on the social networking website Facebook.

Romania's women's epee crew on Thursday conquered the gold medal after defeating Russia, 38-34, in the final event at the European Fencing Championships taking place in Strasbourg. AGERPRES
