Stefanovic: Police know all facts

BELGRADE - Serbia's Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic commented on Sunday on media reports that Dragoslav Kosmajac, who the media have linked with narcotics trafficking, had left the country by saying that the police had all the facts.

"The police are monitoring everything and have all the facts, but I cannot give you any actual information so as not to make any mistakes in the investigation, but we have all the facts," he told reporters.

The media were interested in changes within the police, especially the people who will become heads of police departments.

"You have seen that Mr Rebic was appointed as the head of the traffic police... I choose people who have been doing their job for a long time and who will be dedicated in their work," Stefanovic noted.

"I have already talked to Mr Rebic and told him I expect the number of victims on our roads to drop. We also discussed the possibility of adopting a new law and tightening control along the roads," he pointed out.
