Vucic, British ambassador discuss EU accession, reforms
BELGRADE - Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic conferred with newly-appointed British Ambassador to Serbia Denis Keefe on Tuesday and informed him that EU accession is one of Serbia's priorities in terms of foreign policy, which is why the government will persevere in the reform implementation despite all hardships.
Noting that one of Serbia's priorities in terms of foreign policy is embodied in EU accession, Vucic said that the support of the British government to the process is very important, the Serbian government Office for cooperation with the media released.
Vucic welcomed the ambassador and expressed the hope that bilateral relations between Serbia and the U.K. would improve during his mandate.
Keefe thanked Vucic for the warm welcome and underscored that during his mandate, he will try to provide support to Serbia's European integration and contribute to the improvement of the country's relations with its neighbours.
Vucic informed the ambassador about the forthcoming economic reforms and noted that the government will preserver in reform implementation despite all the hardships, the release states.
