Dacic meets Antonini ahead of Mamberti's visit

BELGRADE - Ivica Dacic, Serbia's first deputy prime minister and foreign minister, talked with Apostolic Nuncio of the Holy See in Belgrade Orlando Antonini on Wednesday ahead of the forthcoming visit by Dominique Mamberti, the Vatican's secretary for relations with states, from June 27 to July 1.

Dacic thanked Antonini for Pope Francis's prompt reaction and call for assistance to Serbia after the recent severe floods, and humanitarian aid that the Holy See sent to the flood-affected areas in Serbia, the ministry of foreign affairs stated in a release.
Issues relating to bilateral relations, including the Holy See's support to Serbia's EU integration and the issue of Kosovo-Metohija, were also considered during the meeting.

The topics were also specified for talks that will be held during Mamberti's visit to Serbia, as well as the signing of an agreement with the Holy See in the field of tertiary education.
