Stefanovic: Key attack on Kurir website came from Croatia

BELGRADE - The website of the Serbian daily Kurir was brought down due to the key attack which came from Croatia, and the Serbian police are cooperating with its colleagues so as to determine who is behind the attack, Serbian Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic has said.

The daily Kurir reported to the Interior Ministry several attacks on the website committed on June 23-24.

Stefanovic said at a press conference on Wednesday that the attacks on the Kurir website came after the release of a text on the football game between Croatia and Mexico, and the comments which were posted under it.

He underlined that the Serbian police intend to fully disclose everyone who took part in this criminal act of cyber-sabotage, adding that the press will be informed once the police get hold of concrete names.

"We are working with the Croatian police, and I hope that we will soon have information on this case," he said.
