Conference 'Creative Europe Program 2014-2020' opens

BELGRADE - A conference titled “Creative Europe Program 2014-2020: Serbia and the Prospects of European Cooperation” began at the Palace of Serbia in Belgrade on Monday.

The conference, which will run through July 2, and bring together Europe's leading experts (from Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Croatia, the Netherlands, Germany, Romania, Slovenia and Sweden) was declared open by Minister of Culture and Information Ivan Tasovac and Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Michael Davenport.

During panels and workshops, experts from Europe will talk with Serbia's culture workers about contemporary cultural policy and European cooperation, and exchange experiences within the program “Creative Europe 2014-2020”.

The first day of the conference will focus on institutional networking at the European level, regional cooperation, roles of individuals, informal groups, associations and networks in the field of culture.
The second day of the conference will deal with issues relating to audience development, mobility and creative industries, and the third day is planned for workshops aimed at sharing practical knowledge with Serbian professionals.

Those taking part in the workshops will get to learn the main procedures of the program and master necessary skills for project management.

The accompanying program is aimed at students of arts and humanities and has been devised in line with the National Youth Strategy promoting young people's active engagement in society.
