Sonja Kaisarevic gets Danubius Young Scientist Award

NOVI SAD - This year's Danubius Young Scientist Award for Serbia has gone to Sonja Kaisarevic, the Novi Sad-based Faculty of Mathematics (PMF) announced on Wednesday.

Kaisarevic received the award, together with other young scientists from the Danube region, at the ceremony in Vienna on June 25.

The award was granted during the third annual forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region, during which Kaisarevic gave a speech.

The Austrian Federal Ministry of Science and Research (BMWF) and the Institute for the Danube Region and Central Europe (IDM) grant the award in an effort to back young researchers in their endeavors.

Sonja Kaisarevic is an assistant professor of biological sciences with the Department of Biology and Ecology at the Faculty of Mathematics in Novi Sad.
