9th Vrnjci International Classical Music Festival in July

VRNJACKA BANJA - The 9th Vrnjci International Classical Music Festival will take place in the Culture castle in Vrnjacka Banja from July 20 to 30.

The festival will gather participants from Norway, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Great Britain, Germany and Serbia. The art director of the festival is Uros Dojcinovic.

During the 11 days of the festival, several exhibitions, multimedia programmes, evening film screenings and master workshops will be held in the famous central Serbian spa. The Fair of music literature and accessories by united publishers will also be organised during the festival.

One of the festival's accompanying events is the themed exhibition entitled 'In memoriam - Norbert Dams' honouring the life and work of one of the greats of the music publishing scene.

The organisers also announced exhibitions entitled 'Na vodopoju Vrnjacke Banje' (At the Vrnjacka Banja water well) by the Heritage Museum, 'Milunka Savic - heroina velikog rata' (Milunka Savic - a Great War heroine) by the Historical Museum of Serbia, Radio Television of Serbia and the Defence Ministry and 'Berta fon Sutner' (Bertha von Suttner) exhibition honouring the first female winner of the Nobel Peace Prize (1905) organised by the Austrian Cultural Forum and the Austrian Embassy.

The Vrnjci International Classical Music Festival will be held under the auspices of the Vrnjacka Banja municipality.
