Lajovic through to quarterfinals at Swedish Open

BASTAD - Serbian tennis player Dusan Lajovic managed to reach the quarterfinals at the Swedish Open in Bastad on Wednesday, after Jerzy Janowicz of Poland withdrew from a match due to an injury.

The match was suspended when Lajovic had a lead of 6-3, 1-1. At the end of the first set, Janowicz asked for a medical time-out, after which he tried to play, but could not continue.

In the semifinal, Lajovic will take on the winner of the match between Elias Ymer (Sweden) - Joao Souza (Portugal).
The prize fund of the Swedish Open amounts to USD 485,760.
