Nikolic meets regional leaders in Cavtat and Dubrovnik

DUBROVNIK - Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic will attend a meeting of business leaders of southeastern Europe entitled Summit 100 in Cavtat on Monday and a meeting of regional leaders, participants of the Brdo-Brioni process in Dubrovnik on Tuesday.

Heads of state of southeastern European countries will attend the plenary session of Summit 100, which is entitled Agreement for a New Age, and are expected to address the public afterwards.

The meeting in Dubrovnik will continue the strategic dialogue started a year ago, when Croatia become a member of the EU/

The dialogue was resumed with the meeting with French President Francois Hollande in Kranj, Slovenia, on July 25, 2013.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel will also be at this year's meeting of heads of state, as a guest, according to a statement from Zagreb.

The presidents of Croatia, Slovenia, Albania, Montenegro, Macedonia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Kosovo will be at the meeting in Dubrovnik along with Nikolic.

France's State Secretary for European Affairs Harlem Desir will be at the meeting on behalf of the French president. European Commissioner for Energy Guenther Oettinger will also be there.

Presidents of Croatia and Slovenia Ivo Josipovic and Borut Pahor will welcome the guests, and the topics of the meetings will be the political situation and relations in the region, EU enlargement, energy policy and key infrastructure projects in southeastern Europe, including the completion of the Adriatic-Ionian motorway and the railway corridor.
