Lajovic in Hamburg quarterfinals

HAMBURG - Serbian no. 2 Dusan Lajovic is through to the quarterfinals of the Hamburg Open, after his compatriot Filip Krajinovic retired at 3-1 down in the first set during their 3rd round match on Thursday.

Krajinovic won his Wednesday's match against defending champion Fabio Fognini of Italy by 6-4, 6-0, despite coming down with a high fever.

Next up for Lajovic is a clash against Leonardo Mayer of Argentina who defeated Austrian Dominic Thiem in straight sets (6-3, 6-2).

The ATP World Tour 500 Tennis Tournament in Hamburg offers a total prize fund of EUR 1.3 million.
