"Such military action cannot happen otherwise than triggered by a military power that is relatively out of control. Or in this region, such military power relatively out of control is that of the separatists. This is how things usually happen. Traditional armed forces, professional, organized armies, national, state-run armed forces don't have such uncontrolled actions," said Frunzaverde. He argues that immediately after violent events like the recent crash of the Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 no one ever admits to being involved. "It's just a natural reaction in the aftermath of such an event. If you remember the Lockerbie plane bombing by the Libyans. For years they denied any involvement, to then pay compensations to the relatives of the victims. The same happened in the case of the Korean flight shot down by two Soviet fighter planes. The first reaction was to deny all involvement of the Soviet Union. Similarly, in the case of the Malaysia Airlines passenger jet there is some information that needs to be checked, as it emerged under the pressure of time immediately after the event," said Sorin Frunzaverde.
