Serbian team wins silver medal at Balkan championship

IZVORANI - The Serbian national team won a silver medal at the Youth Boys Balkan Volleyball Championship in Izvorani, after defeating the host team of Romania 3-2 (20-25, 25-12, 19-25, 25-11, 15-11) in the final round on Sunday.

After the initial defeat against Bulgaria, the Serbian team clinched four consecutive victories, and with a win against Romania, which did not lose a match until today, they finished second.

Serbian receiver David Mehic was declared the best server at this year's championship.

The final scores: Romania- 12 points, Serbia-11, Turkey-9, Bulgaria-8, Moldova-3, Greece-2.
