BELGRADE - The Faculty of Electrical Engineering (ETF), the Faculty of Organisational Sciences (FON) and Faculty of Physical Chemistry of the University of Belgrade (UB), the Faculty of Technical Sciences of the Novi Sad University and the Faculty of Electronic Engineering of the University of Nis rank best on the list of top five universities in Serbia, the latest faculty-related survey conducted among students shows.

ETF and FON share the first place on the list of 76 public and private faculties in the country as students believe they offer the best prospects for the future, followed by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Belgrade University, Union University School of Computing and the Faculty of Physical Chemistry of Belgrade University.

The survey was carried out by NGO and portal iSerbia.rs in the course of 2013 and 2014 and the list is based exclusively on the stands of students in Serbia.

When it comes to the quality of the teaching programmes, students ranked as best the programmes taught at ETF, FON and the Faculty of Mining and Geology of Belgrade University, Faculty of Law of the private Union University and the Faculty of Dramatic Arts of the University of Belgrade and the Faculty of Orthodox Theology of Belgrade University.

The survey was carried out among 5,169 interviewees who are either active students of all study levels at public and private universities or alumni who got their degrees in the past two years.

The idea to launch the survey was motivated by the need to assume a proactive approach with a view to improving Serbia's education system, iSerbia.rs said.
