Ivanovic through to quarterfinals at Stanford Classic

STANFORD - Serbia's tennis player Ana Ivanovic reached the quarterfinals at the Stanford Classic in California, after defeating Carol Zhao of Canada 6-1, 6-1 on Friday morning.

Ana Ivanovic will next take on the first seed, American Serena Williams, who defeated Karolina Pliskova of the Czech Republic 6-1, 6-3 on Thursday.

The prize fund amounts to USD 710,000, out of which the winner will get USD 120,000 and 470 WTA points.
