Ljajic: This gov't set standard for all future govt's
BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic has said that in its first 100 days, this government set the standard for all future governments, as all promises from Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic’s keynote address have been kept, and citizens can measure the performance.
“Politics is becoming a measurable category, as the prime minister’s keynote speech clearly said what needed to be done in the government’s first one hundred days and what in a year’s time. This is a standard set for every future government,” Ljajic said for Belgrade-based broadcaster B92.
Ljajic, who is also deputy prime minister, said that important reform laws that could not have been passed for years had been passed in those first 100 days.
“I have been in several governments and I know how difficult it is to change provisions of the labor law or other legislative proposals. At least 10 reform laws have been adopted recently, of a total of 30 passed by this government,” stressed Ljajic.
Speaking about the contribution by his ministry, Ljajic said that it had prepared bills on consumer protection, which had been adopted, the amendments to the Law on Electronic Communications and to the Law on Postal Services, the law on export and import of arms and military equipment, a registry of all retailers in Serbia, enacted for the first time, and a strategy for fast broadband internet.
The biggest result was achieved in the process of digitization, as more than 80 percent of the population now receive digital TV signal, said Ljajic.
