Interim Gov't to Take Over from Oresharski Cabinet Wednesday
The Bulgarian caretaker government appointed by President Rosen Plevneliev is due to assume office at a special ceremony on Wednesday.
Plevneliev, who introduced the members of the interim cabinet on Tuesday, is also expected to sign a decree to dissolve Parliament and to set October 5 as the date for the early elections.
A ceremony due to begin at 10:00 local time (08:00) at Bulgaria's Council of Ministers.
Political leaders agreed on a snap poll after the ruling socialist-liberal coalition collapsed in June and Plamen Oresharski's government stepped down a month later.
The President named Bliznashki as the new Prime Minister and announced he would have four deputies who will be in charge of economic affairs, social affairs, EU funding and justice, internal affairs and security, respectively.
Bulgaria's latest interim cabinet is the second of which President Plevneliev has been in charge and the fifth in Bulgaria's contemporary history.
