Documentary about Romania to be aired on National Geographic channel
The National Tourism Authority (ANT) will purchase through direct negotiations a series of co-production services for programmes to be broadcast by the National Geographic TV channel for the promotion of Romania's tourism brand, reveals the website of the institution.
The estimated value of the project is 972,500 euros, with the Authority's contribution accounting for 750,000 euros, and the one paid by National Geographic for 222,500 euros. The project includes a 45-minute movie and 4 spots 30 seconds each.
"The documentary movie to be produced mainly for promoting Bucharest as a smart city-break destination together with the promotion spots are aimed at approaching both the less known side of the city as regards its history, cultural and artistic life, the educational opportunities, as well as elements already familiar among foreigners," ANT says.
The procedure will be completed by signing a public acquisition contract, from FEN non-refundable foreign funds. The documentary will be broadcast over Feb. — May 2015.
The "smart cities" concept launched by National Geographic Channel entails the production of documentary movies for 18 European cities considered as having the highest growth potential in the upcoming years.
The documentaries will be broadcast over Feb.—May 2015 in Germany, France, Italy, the UK, Russia and Romania, as target markets as they have been identified following research, as well as in Spain and Poland, Abu Dhabi and India, as opportunity markets.AGERPRES
