DS, LSV, NDS agree on stands for Vojvodina govt reshuffle

NOVI SAD - The Democratic Party (DS), the League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina (LSV) and the New Democratic Party (NDS) reached an agreement on Monday concerning the reshuffle of the government in the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina.

The positions in the government will be discussed in the final stage of the party negotiations, head of the DS technical team Miroslav Vasin told Tanjug.
“We have reached an agreement on the government policy and the points of coalition functioning which are established through consensus,” Vasin said.

He noted that the technical teams have reached an agreement and that the government should have the same number of secretariats as was the case so far, while deputy secretaries should have slightly different powers than they had until now and would be tasked with tangible matters of special importance.

Vasin said that the three parties' bodies should state their opinions concerning the reached agreements and in case these are accepted, the negotiations would be launched concerning the distribution of sectors and position appointments in the provincial government.

Vasin noted that the relevant sides also count on the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians in the implementation of the agreements, since this party holds a place in the incumbent provincial government as the coalition partner of DS and LSV although it did not take part in the negotiations on Vojvodina government reshuffle conducted by three parties' technical teams.
