Serbian film to run for 87th Academy Award

BELGRADE - The expert board of the Serbian Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will decide on the local candidate for the 87th Academy Award on Monday, September 1.

The expert jury will choose between two Serbian-language feature film, 'Montevideo, vidimo se' (See You In Montevideo) directed by Dragan Bjelogrlic and 'Top je bio vreo' (So Hot Was the Cannon) by director Slobodan Skerlic.

After viewing the films and completing the expert debate, the jury will vote in keeping with the regulations of the U.S. and Serbian Academies of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and the result of the voting will then be made public, the Serbian Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences released.

The better-ranking film will be Serbia's representatives in the category of foreign language films for the year of 2014.
