EULEX: We do not discriminate on ethnic grounds
BELGRADE - EULEX released that it does not discriminate on grounds of ethnicity in the implementation of rule of law within its mandates, and even a hint that this may happen, as voiced by various parties, is completely false and unfounded.
It is completely understandable that some legal procedures can be unpleasant for certain individuals but those who have not committed any crime should not be afraid to come forth and have a chance to prove their innocence and be acquitted, EULEX said in the release.
The EU recognises the right to an opinion for all citizens in Kosovo, including the mayors of northern Kosovo municipalities, EULEX said and added that the mission will continue conducting its mandate in keeping with the wishes of EU member countries.
The mission will take into account their concerns and will be in constant contact with political representatives so as to find the ways to improve cooperation and improve the mode of implementation of the mission's mandate as defined by 28 EU member countries, EULEX released.
