Dacic, Manco discuss forthcoming visit by COELA delegation
BELGRADE - Serbia's First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic met with Italian Ambassador to Serbia Giuseppe Manco Friday and discussed with him the process of Serbia's European integration and a forthcoming visit to Belgrade by members of the Working Party on Enlargement and Countries Negotiating Accession to the Union (COELA).
The Working Party is made up of representatives of all 28 member-countries of the European Union and they discuss issues concerning the Union's enlargement at regular meetings.
The COELA delegation will visit Belgrade for the first time, at the proposal of Italy, which currently hold the EU presidency, on September 10-12.
Dacic and Manco expressed the belief that their visit should contribute to better understanding the reform processes in Serbia.
According to the program of the visit, Serbian representatives should make the delegation from the EU fully acquainted with Serbia's activities within the framework of the European agenda.
Ambassador Manco addressed special thanks to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia for its cooperation in the preparation of the important visit.
Minister Dacic used the occasion to extend Serbia's congratulations on the appointment of Italy's Foreign Minister Federica Mogherini to the position of High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and to wish her every success in her future work, a release from the Serbian Ministry said.
