Kristalina Georgieva Becomes EC Vice President Budget, Human Resources

Bulgaria's Kristalina Georgieva was appointed EC Vice President for Budget and Human Resources, reported the Bulgarian National Television public broadcaster. 

The final list with the names of the new European Commissioners was published on the site of the Commission shortly before the start of the news conference at which Jean-Claude Juncker presented his team.

Over the past few weeks speculation was rife on what portfolio Georgieva will get. Most often were mentioned the budget and tax policies portfolio, after it became clear that Italy's Francesca Mogherini will become EU's foreign policy chief - a position for which Bulgaria's Government nominated Georgieva.
