Chamber of Deputies Speaker Zgonea attends Conference of Speakers of European Union opening session

Chamber of Deputies' Speaker Valeriu Zgonea on Thursday attended the opening session of the Conference of Speakers of European Union hosted in Oslo by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and the Norwegian Parliament, informs a release on Thursday sent to AGERPRES.

According to the abovementioned source, the opening session agenda focuses on 'a very complex topic today': the role of the Constitutional Court and of the constitutional control as a guarantor of the fundamental rights of the citizens, the citizens' trust in the political class and their active involvement in the law-making process.
