NDS official at ASPEN conference in Berlin

BERLIN - Konstantin Samofalov, spokesperson of the New Democratic Party (NDS), which has seats in the Serbian parliament, has taken part in a conference organised by the ASPEN institute in Berlin, where the topics were the rule of law in the Western Balkans and the EU enlargement policy.

In his meetings during the visit, Samofalov pointed out the significance of the accession talks for reforms in Serbia, adding that the speed of the reforms depended on the speed of the talks, the NDS stated.

At a meeting with Germany's secretary of state for foreign affairs, Samofalov expressed concern over the decreasing pace of Serbia's EU integration, the statement says.

He met with members of the German parliament Peter Bayer from the Christian Democratic Union and Josip Juratovic from the Social Democratic Party and discussed the EU integration of Serbia and the Western Balkans.
