Serbia retain Davis Cup World Group spot

BANGALORE - Serbia's Davis Cup team beat India 3-2 in Bangalore on Monday to retain their World Group spot for next season.

Filip Krajinovic won the decisive point for Serbia in the World Group playoffs by beating Yuki Bhambri 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 on Monday after their match was interrupted due to rain on Sunday.

On Friday, the first day of the tie, Serbia took a 2-0 lead after Dusan Lajovic beat Bhambri 3-0, while Krajinovic defeated Somdev Devvarman after four sets.

Leander Paes and Rohan Bopanna beat Nenad Zimonjic and Ilija Bozoljac 3-2 In the doubles match on Saturday, while Devvarman beat Lajovic 3-2 on Sunday.
